CLA (Comprehensive Learning Abilities)
was formed in 1989 with the objective of devising and presenting completely
original customised programmes created in response to the impact of change
on people, culture, systems, processes and communication.
Clive Bennett was part of the original team which developed "Putting People First" in 1983. This was a company-wide cultural change programme designed originally for the 37,000 strong British Airways workforce at the time, initially targetting customer care but also people skills and internal service. A highly successful growth business which throughout the 1980's and early 1990's was soon able to develop into a world-wide operation. (Blyton & Turnbull: The Dynamics of Employee Relations: 1994)
